Build a buyer-ready product profile

Six details that make a product enquiry easier to assess.

Build a buyer-ready product profile

Start with the commodity and its origin. A buyer needs to understand exactly what is being offered and where it is available.

Describe quantity and timing. State the quantity you can currently discuss, the unit, the crop season and the expected availability window. Avoid presenting an estimate as confirmed stock.

Explain the product specification. Mention grade, size, variety, packaging and any quality documentation actually available.

Use representative photographs. A clear recent photograph of the produce and packaging helps the buyer ask relevant follow-up questions.

Choose one contact person. Keep the enquiry route clear so that questions on price, samples, logistics and payment can be coordinated.

Keep the profile current. Update availability and respond to enquiries promptly. A detailed profile supports a conversation; final supply terms still need to be agreed between the parties.
